SWAY

Inspired by the term SWAY, which we use to headline the theme of identity, the 2019 HALLO: Festival will take place at Kraftwerk Bille and the Elbphilharmonie. SWAY means to stagger or sway, but also to exert influence or power, and forms the bracket of our program content: We practice splits.

Between queerfeminist porn cinema, the vital concern to break through the standardization of female* body images, the acceleration of time and the thus triggered architectural decay of the Elbphilharmonie and Mbira trance pop to invoke a counterworld. With Dionysian parties, roundtable discussions, videos, dance, performances, lectures and readings, and lots of visual art that also reflects their display.
