Hallo: Hippocampus – Part 1
Our minds are heavy, but the pumps are still running at full speed, because there is a lot to do and some unanswered questions. August is all about processing and digesting, so plans are being made for festivities: from August 25-28. the Hallo: Festival 2022 will take place on the site of the Bille Rowing Association, which is also threatened with displacement. To this end, we cordially invite everyone to join us in decorating the next abyss. For one weekend the area will be transformed into a park of fun with musical as well as performative performances. Next to the clubhouse comes the radio kiosk “Auf Der Grünen Wiese”. On the water lies a floating stage, where the banks of the Bille become the threshold between Rimini and Ibiza. A rain sculpture twists the flow direction of the Elbe’s arm and the aquatic beings of the area – as well as from far away – are summoned to make an appearance and stand by us.
One thing is certain: we will not let the tap be turned off, the Kraftwerk Bille remain the shared, the community.
We don’t say goodbye but Hai
Sincerely your sharks from Hallo: e.V.

Imagine relaxing on a warm sunny day, whenever and wherever you are in time and space. That's what Chillera is all about: always true to its name. Anya Brizhata, Polina Matskevich and Nastya Marikutsa, the Odessa band members, translate their chill through a unique blend of surf rock, dub rhythms and funk, favoring traditional instruments over a synthesizer sound. The trio is all about tranquility and music borne of appreciation.

Riccardi Schola is the Italian brother of RVDS aka Richard von der Schulenburg, who is completely dedicated to the Italo Disco genre. He has played at various parties at the Pudel Club, Golem and Skandaløs Festival, among others, and has released a maxi "On my Mind" on the label "Bordello A Parigi". Romantic, electronic, Italian, pure disco - that's Riccardi.
Nika Son works as a musician, artist, film composer, DJ and curator.
Her compositions consist of modified and fragmented field recordings interwoven with analog synthesis, broken rhythms, rare vocal snippets, and modulated tape. As a DJ, her idiosyncratic sound ranges from musique concrète and early electronics to synth wave, industrial, noise, downtempo and techno.

http://cwelle.org/The Bad Boy Jesus City Swimmers Club is the kind of club Jesus would have loved to be a member of. It is a fluid entity. If you can't get into the same river twice, how will you grasp the essence of the BBJCSC, which is constantly changing?
The investor will gently push you into a sea of sounds where words flow like driftwood. You will have to swim for yourself.

https://soundcloud.com/tussnplastiq is a trio that has existed since 2016. Improvising with voice, synthesizer, beats and acoustic instruments such as mbira and violin, the group explores the interface between acoustic and synthetic sounds. At a plastiq live happening, music is created that is strongly influenced by the nature of the space and the given setting. It challenges the listening habits and spatial orientation of the audience. The trio often collaborates with other art genres. Video and film, installation, storytelling, performance and theater are part of the platform on which plastiq members develop and articulate their diverse interests. When plastiq allow the improvised, the insofar chaotic, they make utopia possible. plastiq are Raphaela Andrade Cordova, Lena Geue, Luka Lenzin.

With the fall of the apartheid-era in South Africa rose new opportunities for the before oppressed population. This gave space to kwaito, a celebrating music genre mainly cultivated by the black population. Sandy B, who was not more than 17 at the time, had a local hit in 1995 with his ep Amajovi Jovi. During the following decades he would move actively within the local music scene and touch a variety of genres including afro-pop, deep house, R'n'B and Soul.
In the mid 2010's around 20 years since its release crate diggers and DJ's across Europe and North America discovered Amajovi Jovi and started dropping tracks from the album. In late 2017 the album was reissued on Canadian label, Invisible City Editions giving a new lease of life to a forgotten classic and giving this once little known artist an international reputation.
In the light of this new breakthrough Sandy B released the album Qhum Qhaks in 2019 which followed up on the success of Amajovi Jovi. In that context he co-founded the record label Vumbuka Records alongside Simon Lundsgaard, the producer of Qhum Qhaks.
Growing up in Europe and encountering the cultures of the African diaspora are important influences that are reflected in the music that the DJ duo CHO Room wants to bring to the people. The two sisters from Hamburg focus on electronic music and want to present the multi-layered sounds of the global African diaspora.
The project Xenofolk is a congenial clash of the two Bucharest artists Suce Fraga & Ion D. Together they concoct fragmented tracks, interdimensional sound adventures and various xeno-syntheses that pop in like the humidity when entering a steam bath. The pores open from the first second and the Xenofolk takes you like a hot stone massage with elbow technique.
With DJ Apotoyoa's mixes "from gh" you can expect a bowl full of selected Afro-Trance-Pop, where the energy walks between barn-burner and vibrating groove. HALLO: Radio Resident since day one. Apotoyoa's motto "When the time is right, nothing can stop it" will make you fall into the dancing crowd like life itself.
For more than a decade Alexander Dorn has shaken electronic sounds, stirring shapes and forms as credit 00 that adhere to few genre tags. Being sonically socialized through Hip Hop in the 1990s, Graffiti and Breakdance were the first outlets for his creativity, music dominating his daily life since a young age. It was through Hip Hop Culture that he realized that you don't need a degree or know how to play an instrument to create your own music. Inspired by the US Ghetto music of the 80s his journey to explore the endless universe of sound had kicked off. Leading him through many phases of musical preferences: Classic Electro, Reggae Dancehall, Italo Disco, Chicago House, Detroit Techno, New Wave or Ghettotech... After concentrating on numerous styles his mission became to combine different influences in DJing and production. Music without genre and boundaries is also the concept of his label Rat Life Records, since 2014 it has been a platform for his own output and those of like-minded artists. Having released many EPs, Compilations and Collaborations on Labels like Uncanny Valley, Chiwax, June, Nation, Bordello A Parigi or Pinkman and especially his 2017 debut album "Game Over" show the many voices of an open minded artist. Even now Credit 00 is always on the look out for the unknown and seeks to challenge the listener and himself rather than fulfill expectations.
At an early-late hour, Lisaweta serves up all-killer-no-filler house with metrowave temperament in the Schaltzentrale. When everyone thinks they have already danced themselves warm, the DJ from Berlin releases the last handbrakes until it drips from the ceiling and the resident advisors from the ://about blank make their way to Hammerbrook. Let's celebrate metropolitan estrangement until the aquarium overflows.
Black stones grow under the oleander.
Are you still going there with me today?
And can you lend me your gold chain?

Yes, so purple with green on the beak.
Sounds really good. Turn the boxBooty Carrell is the DJ alias of vinyl archaeologist, Golden Pudel resident and outernational deejay Sebastian Reier. Carrell does his research in the deep spaces of the vinyl universe. He digs into the second wave of musical globalization. And he sets off where musicians around the world have started to melt regional traditions with a western gesture. Be it in Turkey, Iran, Romania, Pakistan, France or even Germany - Carrell is known to deliver minority pop and neglected world hits that
can turn the world upside down. But first they'll make you dance! "Making Global Sound Local" is the slogan of his DJ crew B-Music that can be found around Andy Votel and Doug Shipton's record label Finders Keepers. For years, Booty Carrell has been keeping the dance floors in Europe burning and catering music in the Hamburg-based record store Groove City. His show Groovie Shizzl is broadcasted bi-weekly on the internet radio station ByteFM. Since September 2020 he is working as music director at Münchner Kammerspiele in Munich, Germany. The tragic loss of his only child in March 2021 changed Sebastian's life entirely but not his will to make people feel loved through music.
Outernational pseudo-ghetto sensibility, fragile neo-femme power and genre cannibalism. Fraga could be described as a self-taught producer of synthetic sounds. She traverses different types of electronica with ease while dipping into trap, hip-hop, R&B and no-step grooves. Her voice leaps off the grid with incomparable elegance, holding all the surrounding sounds together, so that in the end a very personal, strangely coherent universe emerges.
The word is out, the picture is condensing, we have to go - from RV Bille to the control center. Swaying and swaying and everyone should join in! One last time before the control center is converted into an aquarium.Dear friends, family, acquaintances, visitors and observers, come with us to the funeral procession of the control center. Let's sing together to take the shark out of the investor.
When the sun rises over Dresden, a man is already on his bike, riding to one to three flea markets in search of precious little vinyl diamonds. This man could be Cover, one of the busiest diggers and DJs in town. Over the years he has made a name for himself playing soulful disco and house music that you should know but have never heard. For the HALLO: Festival he has specialized in funeral music to be heard when night dawns without morning in the control center.

https://soundcloud.com/cover-1Elazer & Taxi M. have other intersections besides their work in the collectives POSSY and in the HALLO: Radio team: In elementary school they went to the butterfly garden together and today they share the love for melancholic, catchy tracks, which are sometimes decorated with tender chanson voices and otherwise also like to scream for the finest chestpunk. When Taxi M. slips out one or the other hip-swinger, Elazer tends to catch it with Electronic Body Music. The genres are skimmed over, and yet a vibe for the dancefloor persists. For the HALLO: Festival they follow the motto wave, wave - rave in the grave!

If you're lucky, you'll even have the chance to share a real toast with them.
The DJs have dedicated their summer to exploring the forest floor, exploring the magical world of insects and small creatures. In an attempt to translate this microcosm into sound, The DJs play a soothing synth set heavily inspired by Japanese new age music and video game soundtracks.
